Rajan Menon holds the Anne and Bernard Spitzer Chair in International Relations at the City College of New York/CUNY. He is also a Senior Research Scholar at the Saltzman Institute of War and Peace Studies at Columbia University, a Non-Resident Scholar at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and Non-Resident Fellow at the Quincy Institute. His latest book, The Conceit of Humanitarian Intervention, was published by Oxford University Press, which will also publish his next one: Russia After Putin. He has written for the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, the Financial Times, The Nation, Foreign Affairs, and Foreign Policy. In January, he will join Defense Priorities as director of its Grand Strategy Program.
